Its been FOREVER since I posted to my blog SORRY!!! I have just been busy busy!!!
It seemed like every weekend we sat in a gym ALL day long!! Kade and Bryant were both playing basketball and its sooo fun to be able to watch them play.

Bryant's team didn't do very good in league this year! Bryant had a really good season tho. Seemed like he was always scoring 10 or more points. He did have a couple of bad games tho, where he would only score a couple, but everybody has there ups and downs right?!?! I know I did!

We're very excited for Bryants senior year and getting to watch him play football and basketball again. We're hoping next years basketball season will be better!!!! We will be sad to see Bry's senior year come to an end............BUT here in a couple of years we'll be following Kade around!!!

This was Kade's first year of playing basketball on a team! He was playing with kids 9-11 years old. They are soo fun to watch at this age. Kade thought that he was SOOO COOL. He watches Bryant alot and mimics everything Bryant does. He thought while he was playing that he had to do fancy moves like Bry. Kade HAD to be #20 just like Bryant and was soo proud of it, he had to show everyone his jersey, and had to make sure everyone was coming to his games.

In one of Kade's games, one of Kade's teammates hiked the ball between his legs to Kade standing behind him.......and Kade made the shot!!!! We laughed and laughed.........it was TOOO FUNNY!

You learn a line when you win, and learn a book from defeat!

Bry's Junior year of football season has come to an end!!!

The team finished off the league number one, ending up with two home games where they defeated Jefferson and Gold Beach in state playoff games.

The team got to travel to Bend where they play Rainier. In Oregon one of the rules in High School football is the Semi-final and Championship game have to be played on turf! We thought it was GREAT that we only had to travel to Bend!

Last year Bry had to quarterback against Rainier for a state playoff game and they didn't do so well.. He was excited they would play them again and were hoping that they could beat Rainier this year and rub it in their Faces!!!!!!

They did AWESOME...... but they lost by 1 in OVERTIME!!!! They were ahead the whole game, and when it came to the last couple of minutes of the game Rainier caught up, we had a chance to score a field goal with 11 seconds left...(to win the game) and ending up missing it. So they went into overtime. We got the ball first...scored and we were SOOO CLOSE to holding Rainier..... they were on 4th down and 10....Will Devoss almost had the quarterback tackled and the kids chucked the ball in the air........(very very lucky) his teammate caught it and they scored. We had to hold them on the two point conversion and we didn't get it done.

It was a HUGE bummer for Bryant. Derek didn't even want to ride home with him in the van cause he knew how Bry is after games!!!!!!

At the game it was SOOOO COLD! I couldn't even take pictures cause I couldn't hold the camera still! So I only have three!

Bryant was bumbed because he didn't get to play defense against Rainier and didn't get to HIT anybody! But overall they did an awesome Job and we are sooooo very excited for next year...they will have a good team!

AND last but not least..........we have the two biggest DORKS! Had to have a little bit of fun after the game RIGHT?!?!?!

Another year for the Haueter cattle drive has come and gone!!! The cows are home for the winter and believe me we had FUN FUN FUN driving them this year..............IN THE SNOW!
Yes snow. Clear skies up to the cabin, clear skies saddling the horses and gathering the cows.
But wouldn't you know once we started our climb out of the cabin flakes would fall!!!!!!!

We had some babies that had just been born, so we roped them and put them in the trailer. Their moms would fight the dogs also.... so it just made the day alot easier.

Kade did great, even for trailing in the snow. Kade and his cousin Beau would switch on and off, they would get cold and would sit in the pick-up to warm up.

It was only the first day that it snowed. As you can see the second day was much nicer!!

I haven't been good about the blog this year!!!! SORRY!

The Vale football team did GREAT this season. They finished FIRST in the League!!!!!! Bryant was reciever on offense and Safety on defense.

The last two games of League play Bryant got to quarterback, he did AWESOME and we're very proud of him.

Against Nysa he threw two interceptions... but he says he equaled it out because he caught two interceptions.

There was a great article about Bry in last weeks argus if anyone would like to read it!!!!

They have a state playoff game IN VALE tomorrow at 1!!!!!!!

I am SOOOOO behind on updating my blog! SORRY!

In August Kade and Bryant took animals to the Fair. Bryant took a steer, and Kade took a calf. He was SOOO EXCITED. Kade was outside with that calf every day, he would walk it out on the lawn and let it eat. One day we looked outside and the calf was eating on the lawn and Kade was sitting on his back! The calf just kept eating like he was even there!

Bryant bought a steer from Grandpa Haueter, we didn't think the steer would make it to the fair. He was a little wild! We went out to work with him one night and he got away from us and jumped the fence and got in Craigs cornfield! Then as I was chasing him out I grabbed the end of the rope (as if I was gonna stop him by myself) and he face planted me in the irrigation water (silly me didn't let go of the rope and was also DRUG through the irrigation water!). I was drenched!!!!!! So finally we got him next to a post where we tied him up and then walked him back to his pen!!!!!

The fair is always a long week! But Kade had TONS of fun staying in the camper with Derek!

The judge came and asked Kade questions while he was showing..........he was being shy!

Kade named his calf Black Top. He was bumbed he had to give him back to grandpa. He looks for him everytime we're at grandpas house! He even drew a picture of him and hung it on the outside of his bedroom door!

The calf kept putting his head down to eat, and Kade would just let him and try to set his feet while he was eating!

He's not supposed to be looking at us....DORK!

SUMMER PROJECTS!

This summer I started some projects around my apartment. Uncle Craig gave me his dining room table, BUT it didn't have any chairs. I had a roommate that had some old office chairs and she gave them to me. So I decided to recover them and make them look better! We also sanded and stained them the same color as the table.

The finishing result!!! I covered the bottom of the chair and mom sewed the tops for me! She's awesome I'm thankful she was so willing to help!

We also made some matching curtains, which mom also sewed for me! I did sew the buttons on though!!!! Then we also made a sign for my aptartment with her new cricut!!!

We've been having alot of fun with it!

A couple weekends ago we went camping with the Tolman's in Unity. I haven't been there since I was younger, It was TONS of fun! There are 4 wheeler trails EVERYWHERE, geo caches, and fishing!!!!!!
Although I had tons of fun...I'm SUPER bummed about breaking my camera. BUT thankfully, Jen (Jerry's sister) trusted me to take her camera on a couple of the trips!

Jerry forging the river! Jaime had gone fishing while me and Jerry were out riding the 4 wheeler and was telling us how many he caught AND OF COURSE I had to go catch something!!!

Me and Jerry went to go find a cache on the quad. It was the Table rock cache and it was so HIGH in the mountains all the snow hadn't melted yet. OF COURSE Jerry had to try and drive as far as he could......yeah we didn't get very far...

During our trip we gathered rocks for my new fish tank! .....found some geo caches, and on the way back to camp JAMMED OUT to Love Story by Taylor Swift! We had some dang good food also......gotta love camping!!! I sure do!!!

For memorial day the Haueter Clan and Pierce's went to the Haueter Cabin in Westfall. Friday Jerry took me in on the 4 wheeler, then everyone else showed up a while later! We stayed that night then after Jerry got off work he came and got me!! Everyone else stayed until Sunday!

Sue and Stan took everyone out to the top to call Ryan because Derek REALLY wanted him to come out! So I Saddled the horse and went and took some pictures of the cabin.

The other day me, dad, Kayla and Grandpa went back up to fix a water trough and on the way home found 3 rattlesnakes!!!! Luckily we didn't see any memorial weekend!

Derek kept going on and on about how he had to tell Blane about this place!!! He kept saying Blane would just LOVE IT, I can't wait to tell him.

Behind the cabin there is a little stream, and the kids loved playing in it....they even found tiny scorpions back there.....AND OF COURSE had to bring them home for show and tell.....Kade's got put in the freezer!!!!!

Also our horses escaped, there is a little pasture around the cabin, where we were keeping them, and SOMEBODY left the gate open (bryant) so they escaped into the BIG pasture. We waited for Jerry to get out that night so we could go chase them with the 4 wheeler!!!!

Soccer Season

The past couple of weekends, Kade has been playing SOCCER! He was so excited to play this year. Mom had me run the papers over to sign him up and everytime he would see me he thanked me for signing him up for soccer!
We've enjoyed watching him this season, he usually scores some goals but lately he hasn't.....need to work on that!!! He's a really funny kid, he has some girls on his team and one girl really likes him! So he would do something good and this little girl (Gracee Jacobs) would come hug him and jump on him and he would just CRINGE and make funny faces....it really embarrased him!

One game Kade kicked the ball and hit a little girl right in the chest.....and he kicks HARD, he just stopped and looked at her and didn't know what to do!

Another game he kicked it and hit this really tall kid right in the thigh with the ball and th kid SCREAMED Kade was like uh.... and everyone on the sideline were yelling to Keep going Kade!!

This past Saturday Kade got to play against his cousin Dallen Haueter! Kade was SOOO INTENSE that game, he was not gonna let Dallen beat him or outrun him. It was funny to watch his face, he really got into that game. He knocked Dallen down a couple of times and everything!

Just barely missed that goal!!!

Kade and Dallen were both the captains on there team this game and Kade kept telling us, "we me and Dallen smiled at each other like we knew we weren't gonna let the other beat us" OK KADE whatever. I dunno if any of you have ever heard what a story teller Kade is. We wonder sometimes where he comes up with stuff. After his soccer game we went and helped grandpa haueter trail cows and sort them and the whole way back he talked and talked and talked.......I was like ok Kade let other ppl talk now!! It was so funny!

Kade acts and talks just like Bryant. I hope Bry understands how much he influences him, cause everything Bryant does, Kade does....especially sports related!!!!!

GEO CACHING WITH THE TOLMANS!

Me and Jerry had an AWESOME Sunday geo caching with his sister and her family! We went to Cow Hollow out of Nyssa and found two caches there... then headed to the Owyhee dam. There are at least 12 caches all the way up to the dam!
For lunch we cooked hot dogs on a coleman grill... which we had tons of fun getting started. Jen forgot the matches!!!! SO Jerry and Jaime tried and tried to light toilet paper on fire with a cigarette lighter and FINALLY they got it to start!

At the end of the Owyhee Dam road there is another road that takes you across to Succor Creek....AND IT WAS SCARY! Rocky and a straight drop off on the other side!!! Jerry was FREAKED OUT! This is a view of Owyhee from probably half way up the mountain before we hit the top.

Haueter Holiday

Mom refers to the Haueter branding as the "Haueter Holiday"....everyone wants to be there!!
Saturday was our holiday and we had TONS of fun!!

Kade talked about the branding weeks before the weekend of!!! He was so excited.... he got all his ropes together in his rope bag, he got my rope bag and had everything in it!!! He kept asking dad when he was going to get ready for it!

He also thought this year that he would get to rope....he aked dad "so who'e roping besides me and megan dad?" He's a funny and intense little kid!

We still have to brand Dad's calves and some more of grandpa's! Anybody want to help???!!!

The Season Ends.

Bryant's at an end to another season!!! He had his last games this weekend against Umatilla and Riverside. We had lots of fun watching him this season!!! Bryant played JV and got to sit Varsity. He did get to play on varsity but only for a couple of minutes a game!

They won both they're games Friday and Saturday by alot!! When they traveled to Umatilla and Riverside I guess it wasn't so easy. Dad said the other team was brutal and was getting away with alot (from the refs) so they lost and all we're very very frustrated!!

The boys varsity did ok this season they are in a three way tie with Burns and Grant Union for the 3rd in the league! They play Burns in Grant Union on Monday and if they win they play Grant Union in Burns! If they win both they are the 3rd seat and they will have a play off game to go to state!

Before the game on Saturday Kade asked if I would spike his hair....although he's a pain in the butt at the games....he really likes to watch Bryant play. Everywhere Kade goes he's jumping in the air and shooting a jump shot!

We really enjoy watching Bryant, and are sad that this season has come to an end. Bry is not sure if he is going to play any spring sports so we'll see if mom talks him out of it!!!!

We're not sure whether or not to be excited for football season, Bryant was really bummed by how last season went, but we're still excited to be able to watch him.

We'll miss you!

This past Sunday we all went to church and listened to Tye speak. We're all very glad he's decided to serve the lord!!!! We had a great time listening to his talk....and eating with the family at Grandma's house afterwards!!!
Here's some pictures for those of you that weren't able to be with us.

We're all going to miss Tye while he's gone! Even though he was always gone to Virginia...we were all glad he came to visit us before leaving us for two years!!!!

Valentines Day

Just to warn everyone, when going to a Boise State Basketball Game be sure your at least 45 minutes early! Maybe its not like that at all the games BUT me and Jerry and his parents were 15 minutes early to the game and didn't get into the gym until 10 minutes into the game!!!! We waited in line to PARK.....JUST PARK........for over half an hour!!!

Otherwise the game was fun! A great date on Valentines day, along with the roses I recieved!

We went to the BSU mens basketball game, where they played 17th ranked Utah State Aggies. It was a very exciting game, and BSU beat them by 12 points....breaking the Aggies 19 game winning streak!

COWBOY UP!!

I have a funny little story that I thought everyone would like to hear!!!
Yesterday (Saturday) Jerry had the day off (which is very rare.) And we were planning to go to grandpa's cabin, and doing all this other stuff!! WELL it's still a little wet outside so we decided to go help dad!

Dad had to go to Harper, because one of the neighbors had a cow of his, so we took the trailer and headed to these people's corrals to get this cow! We thought it was going to be a little job....but it turns out we were wrong!

Me and dad got behind this cow and were chasing it through the first gate.... the cow had to go through two gates to get to the horse trailer. So we get her through the first gate, where Jerry happen to be standing waiting, as Jerry started to move the cow instantely turned on him and started to charge him! JERRY RUN!!!!!!!
The minute it decides its done with Jerry it comes after me and up the fence I go! The cow took dad up the fence a couple times, tried to take me a couple more times....when finally we decided we needed a decoy! So there I stood in the gate and she came after me and dad closed the first one. Then I went to the other gate and sat on the fence and she came right after me and dad closed that gate behind her. MEANWHILE Jerry had hopped all the fences and got behind the trailer door, so when the cow jumped in he swang it shut before she could get back out!

Jerry likes to go out and help us with the cows, and is always willing to be right in on the action.... I hope he stills does after that experience!!!

1. I have an AWESOME boyfriend, I couldn't ask for more.
2. I love watching my younger siblings play sports!
3. I'm known as "mugger megan" in my family, I love to kiss the babies.
4. I've seen the movie Twilight, 3 times in theatre, and once on the internet!
5. I would rather work outside on the farm, than do housework.
6. I have tons of nick names: pooh shmegan megs hooters (ok that one was high school) shmegs chowder
7. I hate being cold, but love winter and snow!
8. I have the greatest family, I love being with all of them!

Christmas break is over and basketball is starting heavy again! Bryant and his team played two games this weekend, New Plymouth and Payette! Bryant did awesome against Payette, he had 24 points....and a steak dinner from Grandpa Hiatt!

Bryant only had 6 points against New Plymouth, In the first quarter it was 20 to 6, so not really much of game the first half. New Plymouth came back from half more aggressive but not enough to win!

The boys only have a week until league starts, Bryant says he can't wait to play Nyssa and beat Calvins team!

Ella also enjoys watching Bryant!!

Sledding!!

We had tons of fun sledding this year!! We have over a foot of snow....I haven't seen this much snow in Vale for a while. We had tons of fun playing in it, and were in it every chance we could! The day after Christmas Sue and Stan, Jake, Anna and Sean, Ryan and Derek, all of Kristen's boys, me and Kade and Julie and Trent and their girls, went sledding in grandpa's pasture. An interesting story was brought up, Jake was thinking of other STEEPER places we could go, and the Story about Cassi came up! The year we were sledding and we were going to go on grandpa's ranch to baldie mountain and only one truck made it in the snow, so the other half of us went to another hill around the house. AND Cassi went down the hill by herself............and hit a tree! She thought she was paralized from the waist down! We always wondered why she didn't jump off before she hit the tree?

Jake and Sean would pull ppl by the ropes on the sleds to make us go faster....thats me!

I crashed......the rope got caught on Jakes glove and pretty much took the sled out from under me!

Derek brought his snowboard so Kade wanted to try it out. He did very good until he got over the hump to go a little faster! Jake is our expert on skiing and snowboarding and he was telling Kade how to do it!!!

Everyone kept wondering why we weren't hauling them up the hill with the 4-Wheeler. So me and Jake tried to climb it. We had to really get our speed going at the bottom to get even close to making it to the top. The snow is so deep, it was hard to drive the quad through it most of the time!

On christmas day, Jerry took us out to ride behind the quad. We didn't go very fast cause it was so deep he couldn't really get speed, wasn't much fun for us "big" kids but Kade had lots of fun!
His dog kept chasing him and jumping on the sled with him, so he thought that was pretty cool.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

The other day I went and wrapped presents for my mom. Kade was BOUNCING off the WALLS! I was in a room all by myself and he kept coming to the door.... "are you done yet Megan?" ALL DAY LONG!

He has been a little snoop too, he's already seen some of his presents!! Isn't this what Christmas is all about?
On Sunday we also went to Kristen's house to bake cookies with the Pierce Family! It was fun and a HUGE mess!

Bryant has had a couple more games since I last posted. He's been staying in the double digits in points! We have to keep reminding him tho to BE AGGRESSIVE! (hmm I've heard that before!)
They have a tournament coming up during Christmas break in Fruitland!

Can't wait to see everyone on Christmas!! BRING YOUR SLEDDING CLOTHES!!!

Vale vs Ontario

The boys basketball played in Ontario, Vale JV beat them by two!! Bryant said he had 10 or 12 points, he's doin good this year. The past couple of games he's scored double digits! They have one more game this week, then they are off for Christmas break!

Basketball Season

It's basketball season for Bryant! They have already played two games, they've lost both but they're just getting their feet wet!!! Bryant is playing JV and Number 23.....(22 was taken, we all know thats the best number just cause that was mine) OK so Bryant wanted to be 22 like Tye! He looks up to Tye alot, he even made a comment one time Tye has shaped me into who I am, UH OK BRY. And yes he does act like Tye!

Bryant was hoping that he would have a chance to at least sit on Varsity this year cause he played all summer on the Varsity team, but when basketball season came 10 seniors came out for the team, plus the 4 Juniors. Bry was bummed! I'm not totally sure but I think they Varsity team can only have 15 players (I could be wrong tho)

Bry's very first game he was kind of shy and timid until the last quarter, this game he got into it faster. First game he had nine points!

Holiday Season!

This is probably our favorite time of year, with all the Holidays approaching, and its the time of season we're on horses every weekend gathering and getting them home for the winter!

I just thought everyone would like to know that Kade got back on Maybe (the horse that scared him) We thought it would be awhile before he got back on her, the day before we left we were discussing it and Kade says I wanna ride Maybe I miss her. So he did!

We just recently celebrated Kayla's 19th birthday on the 23rd! Mom's birthday is on Thanksgiving day this year, I was going to wait to post until after Mom's birthday but we all know no one can take pictures of her anyways!

Haueter's '08 Cattle Drive

Kayla Dad and Jerry. This is Jerry's second time on a horse! When we took the cows out to the cabin he drove his 4-wheeler the whole time. I'm glad he's willing to ride, cause its absolutely one of my favorite things. He's very trusting to ride a horse he doesn't know!!

Kayla and Dad. Dad told me I couldn't take his picture, I was like WHAT!! He said I couldn't because he didn't have his cowboy hat on! Grandma Haueter said that she's just not used to seeing dad without his cowboy hat and he doesn't look the same!! Dad said he didn't wear it cause he thought it would get REALLY cold that day so he wanted to be able to wear his hood!

This is the Haueter cabin. Kayla, Kelsey Haueter, Grandma and Grandpa all stayed the night in the cabin the day before we left. Me Dad and Jerry drove up the next day to help.

I'm sure everyone is wondering where Kade is cause we all know this is his FAVORITE thing. Kade had a little scare (which was my fault) Me and Kade we're gathering cows the weekend before and he was on Maybe. I could see from where me and Kade were that Grandpa needed help with the cows he was trying to gather, so I told Kade where the truck was (it was grandma with lunch!), you could see it on top of the hill, and I said just follow these cows and take them towards the truck. I really didn't think I would be gone that long, and I knew better because the horse he was on gets really nervouse when she's by herself. Pretty soon me and grandpa get the cows where they are supposed to go, and here comes a horse with no rider...it was Kade's. MY HEART DROPPED. So i grab kade's horse and tell grandpa i'll get those cow's we had and see if I can see Kade. Pretty soon I hear grandma honking and honking and flashin something, so I figured she had Kade. Kade had gotten scared and got off his horse and ran all the way to grandma. IT was a long way! Grandma said that she was sleeping in the truck and something told her to wake up, she looked aroud and then looked out her window and there was a little boy standing there!
I felt so bad, and Kade didn't really feel like going on the cattle drive this time. Then i felt really bad. But he did end up going after we got back from Bryant's football game.

Bryants BUTT.... it was way dirty!!!

This weekend we had lots of fun in between moving cows and getting to Bryants game!! I thought everyone would be most interested in Bry's game and how he did!! Unfortunately they lost by alot, but Bryant did awesome. We are very proud of him and for hanging in there after a very rough season!!! He's an awesome athlete! Now its on to Basketball season.

Bryant got hit hard on that play. For some reason his blockers couldn't get it right, Bry got hit 6 or 7 times that game.

They hiked the ball to him like in this picture and most the time couldn't get it to him cause it was wet and rainy!

Tradition for Vale High football when they go to state is to shave their heads! Here's Bryants new style!!!!! Bryant has a ton of hair and its thick!!! Me and mom worked hard (lol) and even trimmed his mohawk! Bryant asked if I would gel it afterwards because he had to go to MIA! Kade BEGGED AND BEGGED for a mohawk also! It was fun! GOOD LUCK BRY!

Vale beat Nyssa on Halloween!!! So they are off to Reinier for a playoff game this weekend. They will play them Saturday! GOOD LUCK BRY!

This year for Halloween I went to Vale to the Trunk or Treat!! I helped mom and Kristen with her little ones. Afterwards we went to Bryant's football game.

Hey Everyone!!! I wanted to let you all know how Bryant is doing in football this year. He is an awesome athlete. He's had a rough season this year, LONG STORY, but he's finally getting his chance at STARTING quarter back!!!!!! If he wins his game tonight, then they will go to Reinier for a STATE playoff game!!!! Bryant has worked so hard this year, you can ask Tye!!!!!
